The Phoenix Suns and New Orleans Pelicans will square off in Game 5 of the first-round NBA playoffs on Tuesday, April 26th at 10 PM ET (Wednesday, April 27th at 7:30 AM IST). But will Devin Booker play the crunch game?
In what is arguably the most exciting first-round NBA playoff series, the Phoenix Suns and the New Orleans Pelicans have won two games apiece. Now, with the crucial Game 5 set to take place at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, NBA fans have been curious to know whether or not Devin Booker will play for the Suns in the crunch matchup.
Devin Booker sustained a hamstring injury in Game 2 of the Suns’ playoff series matchup vs the Pelicans. The All-Star shooting guard is expected to be out for at least 2 to 3 weeks.
Booker scored 31 points in the first half of Game 2 vs the Pelicans but left the game with less than 5 minutes remaining in the third quarter with Phoenix trailing, 77-74.
He then sat out for Game 3, which Phoenix won, 114-111, Friday, and Game 4, which the top-seeded Suns lost, 118-103, on Sunday.
Devin Booker will not be available for the Phoenix Suns in Game 5 of their NBA Playoffs series against the New Orleans Pelicans. Booker has been a crucial part of Monty Williams’ side over the past two years or so.
This season, Booker was averaging 26.8 points, 5.0 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game for the Suns. His absence is bound to be felt when Phoenix lock horns with the Pelicans on Wednesday.
