Ronda Rousey hasn’t been seen on WWE for a long time, and there are doubts if she is still with the company
When Ronda Rousey started making fleeting appearances in the WWE ring there was a lot of excitement that one of the greatest UFC stars would make a seamless transition into the world of wrestling.
It made sense for her too. Rousey had done everything she could in the UFC, and being a former champion, a move to WWE would not only keep her away from proper beat downs but also increase her career in the ring.
Rousey was greeted by a lot of cheers as she took out Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, and even became the Raw Women’s Champion, but something never clicked for her.
The fans were split with her becoming the champion and prior to that too. She lost her title at WrestleMania 35 in a triple threat main event.
The ending seemed to be botched, which could have allowed Rousey to return to WWE later. However, she took an indefinite leave to start a family and has not been seen in the company since.
Is Rousey set to return to WWE?
Ronda Rousey leaving WWE after WrestleMania 35 was not the biggest shock as she was expected to undergo hand surgery, but her not returning since has been a surprise.
She was the poster child for WWE as she slowly made her move from UFC to WWE, but she was never able to click with the fans.
Although she left the company to start a family with UFC star Travis Browne, Rousey has no intention of coming back to WWE.
She added more fuel to the fire in a recent Wild Ride podcast and explained her reasons to leave WWE:
“What am I doing it for if I’m not being able to spend my time and energy on my family, but instead spending my time and my energy on a bunch of fucking ungrateful fans that don’t even appreciate me?”
Family is important for Rousey
The former UFC and WWE champion also highlighted that being on the road for over 200 days in a year would take its toll on anyone, and she just wanted to remain home with her family:
“The thing is, I love performing. I love the girls. I love being out there. “But, at the end of the day, I was just like, ‘F*** these fans, dude.’ My family loves me. They appreciate me. I want all of my energy to go into them.”
Rousey also seemed to take a dig at some stars on Twitter. The former champion posted some updates recently with one taking aim at the fans too:

Shayna Baszler also posted something similar in support of Rousey too, which seems to highlight the fact she wants to spend time with her family:
HOW DARE RONDA CARE MORE ABOUT HER FAMILY THAN PLEASING FANS THAT ARE NEVER HAPPY!!!

WWE is a strange business and we can never rule out the return of a star. However, for now, it seems Rousey is out of the wrestling game.
