As the Sixers now approach Game 6, NBA fans are concerned over whether Philadelphia star Joel Embiid will play on Thursday. Embiid has been struggling with a thumb issue which is reportedly hampering his game.

Earlier this week, reports from ESPN confirmed that Joel Embiid will need surgery on his ailing right thumb, but the Cameroonian will wait until the end of the season to get it treated. Is Joel Embiid playing tonight vs Raptors in Game 6?
Embiid is listed as questionable on the Sixers’ injury report card. The 28-year-old may still start Game 6 for the Sixers but it is unlikely that Rivers will be keeping Embiid on the court for longer than what is necessary.
This season, Embiid was averaging a staggering 30.6 points, 11.7 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game. He was also instrumental in guiding the Sixers to a 3-0 lead in the NBA playoffs vs the Raptors.
