The Golden State Warriors will lock horns with the Boston Celtics on Sunday, June 5th for Game 2 of the NBA Finals. The highly-anticipated clash between the two teams is scheduled to commence at 8:00 PM ET.
The Celtics took a 1-0 lead in the NBA Finals by winning Game 1 two nights ago. However, the Warriors are tipped to make a strong comeback in Game 2 after losing the first game against Steve Kerr’s side. Nevertheless, NBA fans are curious to know whether or not Klay Thompson will be playing in Game 2 against the Celtics.
Is Klay Thompson playing tonight vs Celtics?
Earlier on Sunday, the Golden State Warriors released their injury update card and Klay Thompson was not on the list. This means that Thompson is available and expected to play in Game 2 vs the Celtics barring a late injury or setback. Thompson seemed to be rather uncomfortable with his movement in Game 1 but those fitness issues have been cleared.
Thompson has been integral to the Warriors’ success this season, especially after he returned to action following more than two years on the sidelines. The three-time NBA champion wasn’t at his best in Game 1 vs the Celtics as he scored only 15 points, with 3 assists and 2 rebounds. However, with Thompson in their squad, the Warriors still look capable of turning things around in Game 2.
