On February 22, 2023, Kelly fell ill and was forced to leave for home from her Good Morning Britain show. Kate Garraway, a broadcaster announced that ‘ “In almost a first in her 30-year-plus history on breakfast TV, she’s actually gone home. She’s not well.”‘
Upon seeing this news, people were worried and confused about why she was sent back home and also rumours started spreading in a rapid manner.
As a replacement, the people of the Good Morning Britain Show called Ranvir Singh to the rescue. Ranvir told that the moment she got the call, she arrived at the office within a span of 12 minutes. That showed how big the opportunity is. Ranvir gave her best and almost matched the absence of Kelly.
Kelly shared her disappointment with Twitter by stating that she missed a golden opportunity to interview, Adam Lambert, an American singer-songwriter. The major reason to send her back is that she might infect Lambert. And was also happy as she did not infect him with the illness: “Beyond disappointed but imagine if I had infected him !!!!!!”.
Her fans felt bad for her and commented that they were praying for her speedy recovery. She is one of the top interviewers in the world and her absence from her TV show created a big impact around the globe. Lorraine will bounce back stronger and will hit the live shows very soon.
