The Mavericks rely heavily on Luka Doncic and their star man has rarely let the team down. But even Doncic’s heroics haven’t been able to save the Dallas Mavericks from going 2-0 down in the series against the Suns. Nevertheless, NBA fans are curious to know whether the Slovenian star will be playing in Game 3 on Friday.
Is Luka Doncic playing tonight? Update on Dallas Mavericks star ahead of Game 3 vs Suns
Luka Doncic has been listed as ‘available’ for Game 3 vs the Suns. The Mavericks star has also trained with the team and barring any late injury or fitness issue, he is set to feature in the game on Friday.
Doncic did suffer a calf injury in the Mavs’ final regular-season game against the San Antonio Spurs. However, the three-time All-Star recovered quickly to get his team past the Utah Jazz in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.
Luka Doncic averaged 28.4 points, 9.1 rebounds and 8.1 assists during the course of the regular season for the Mavericks. He scored a staggering 45 points in Game 1 against the Suns and added 35 in Game 2 but his efforts went in vain. Still, Doncic remains the real deal and is expected to play an integral role for the Mavs if they are to make a comeback against Phoenix on Friday.
