Michael Venom Page is a free agent but is he headed to the UFC?

Michael Venom Page is one of the flashiest and best strikers in the world of MMA. The 36-year-old has several highlight reels thanks to his fights in Bellator but there seem to be bigger things on the horizon for Venom.

The British star was recently speaking to the MMA Hour and confirmed that he was in fact a free agent. He was with Bellator for almost 10 years but he claimed that he was ready to explore other opportunities.

“I am currently unemployed,” Page said (h/t MMA Fighting).

“I think it’s time for me to just explore what else is out there. It doesn’t mean I’m not going to go back with Bellator. It just means I want to see what other people think of ‘MVP.’”

Venom also claimed that Bellator has the option to match any offers he receives. Further, the 36-year-old added that he was keen to try out boxing or bare-knuckle fighting as well.

Page holds a great record of 21 wins and only 2 losses. His last fight was against Goiti Yamauchi which took place at Bellator 292.

Is Michael Venom Page joining the UFC?

While the British star did not confirm where he was headed, social media blew up recently thanks to some happenings on the UFC website.

The UFC website added quite a few names to their roster with Michael Page’s profile popping up. It didn’t feature his image but this caught the attention of many fans.

However, this seems to be an internal issue with the website. Fans pointed out, according to the web archive, that these pages were added in March 2023.

It will be interesting to see what is next for Page. His coming to the UFC will add more firepower to the Welterweight division and make for some incredible fights.

However, signing for the UFC means he won’t be able to box or try out other combat sports. There are other big MMA promotions that could sign him, like ONE Championship too.

Influencer boxing could be a route for Page, but missing out on those incredible kicks and finishes might not be the thing for him for the rest of his career.
