One of the most controversial moments in his career occurred in 2007 when De la Hoya was exposed in explicit photos taken by Milana Dravnel and later sold to tabloid newspapers. De la Hoya later denied their authenticity and offered Dravnel $20 Million as compensation for remaining silent.
