Yes, Shara Magomedov is blind, but in one eye. He got blind after he suffered an injury during a fight.

The upcoming UFC 294 PPV event will showcase fighters from the Caucasian region and one of the rising stars is Sharabutdin Magomedov, also known as ‘Shara Bullet.’ Hailing from Dagestan, this 29-year-old fighter has an undefeated record of 11-0 in MMA. What sets him apart is his kickboxing background, which gives him a unique striking style.

Remarkably, he has secured 10 of his 11 victories by KO/TKO, with only one fight going the distance. His last bout in the Thailand Fighting Championship saw him score an astonishing 8-second knockout against Indian MMA fighter Kushal Vyas. Magomedov’s striking game is characterized by powerful kicks and knees.

The UFC has been scouting talent worldwide, and Magomedov’s signing is a testament to their efforts. However, his aggressive behaviour outside the cage has landed him in trouble. He was involved in an altercation in a mall where he assaulted someone for showing public affection. Magomedov’s lack of self-control has raised concerns, as such actions could have a significant impact on his career and personal life.

While his fighting skills are unquestionable, his ability to control his temper remains a challenge. It’s crucial for a professional fighter to maintain discipline both inside and outside the octagon, and Magomedov’s behaviour has raised questions about his self-control.

Details about Magomedov’s eye injury are scarce, with only a few reports available. According to a YouTube video from ‘THE FIGHT SECTOR,’ ‘Shara Bullet’ initially injured his right eye during training in Thailand, leading to a three-year absence from competition. Back then, he was on a four-fight winning streak and had achieved a first-round KO victory in his last bout before the injury.

Due to the severity of the injury, Magomedov eventually lost his vision, which he openly discussed in an interview.
