The Golden State Warriors will welcome the Eastern Conference winner, Boston Celtics, at the Chase Center on Thursday for Game 1 of their NBA Finals clash. The crunch encounter is expected to commence at 9:00 PM ET (Friday, June 3rd at 6:30 AM IST).
The Warriors are attempting to recapture their NBA championship, one that they won three times during the past seven years. However, the new-look Celtics, who have looked thoroughly impressive throughout the playoffs, currently stand in their way.
Despite the magnitude of the game on Thursday, several NBA fans are curious to know whether or not Steph Curry will be playing for the Warriors in Game 1 against the Celtics. The Warriors star has a habit of delivering in the big games and is expected to do so again at the NBA Finals.
Earlier on Thursday, the Warriors released their injury report for the opening game of the NBA Finals. But Steph Curry was not on that list which means that he will be available to play in Game 1 vs the Celtics barring any late injury or setback.
Curry has been instrumental for the Warriors once again this season. He has averaged 25.9 points, 6.2 assists and 4.9 rebounds per game during the playoffs. The 34-year-old is highly regarded as one of the best shooters to ever grace the NBA and he is expected to play a crucial role in Game 1 if the Warriors are to get a 1-0 lead in the series.
