WWE Legend Goldberg wrestled his last match with the company at Elimination Chamber – So now is he heading to AEW?
WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg has wrestled his last match in WWE at Elimination Chamber PPV against Universal Champion in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. His contract with WWE got expired.
Currently, the former WCW Champion is a “free agent”, and he might be headed towards a new promotion soon. However, AEW President Tony Khan is making his rise bigger than ever with some most prominent signs recently, like Jeff Hardy and Keith Lee. Multiple reports also suggest that Khan is about to give a “massive update” soon.
Khan promised a new signing and hinted at opening the Forbidden Door again. With Golberg’s contract expiration, the fans are creating speculation about him going to Tony’s promotion.
He recently appeared in an interview with Busted Open Radio and said that he has been busy all week getting new signees,
“There will be a lot of news in the week ahead. I don’t know if I’ll get it done by tonight, but stay tuned in the week ahead, hopefully. I’m working on something pretty big. It would be massive. I don’t know if it’s what anybody would expect or think it is, but it would be a big deal in pro wrestling,”
Before his match against Roman Reigns at WWE Elimination Chamber PPV. Golberg took to Instagram and uploaded an emotional video where he revealed that this match might be the last match for WWE,
“Possibly my final mission in the wrestling world. As you can tell, I’m quite weary from the long flight as I stated that we are in Riyadh when in fact, we are in Jeddah. Kind of a bittersweet trip as it may be my last here as a performer.”
It will be interesting to see if Goldberg eventually makes his way to AEW, but if he does, it will be crazy for the fans worldwide.
