More about Becky Lynch and her marriage to fellow WWE Star Seth Rollins
Becky Lynch is a professional wrestler who was born on 30 January, 1987 in Limerick, Ireland. She had to leave Ireland to look for better wrestling opportunities and it didn’t come easy for her. She finally got the chance to perform at the highest level by WWE in 2013.
WWE signed her under the NXT brand and it took her two years to finally gain the company’s trust. In 2015 she got presented with the opportunity to perform on the big stage of Friday night SmackDown.
WWE first presented Lynch as a baby face and innocent character but soon realized that she will be better while performing as a heel. Lynch first came out as heel on SummerSlam 2018 and the fans went crazy for her.
Her hard work eventually rewarded her as she became both SmackDown and Raw women’s champion. She also became the first women’s wrestler to hold both the championships simultaneously.
In the year, 2018 she also played the character of Maddy Hayes in the film The Marine 6: Close quarters. This marked her debut in the Hollywood film industry as well.
Is Becky Lynch Married?
After a lot of speculations from the fans in 2019, Becky and Seth Rollins broke their silence and revealed that they were dating. The two respective champions of their divisions also shared the news of their engagement via Twitter in August of 2019.
Originally they had the plans of getting married in Spring of 2020 but the Covid-19 situation postponed their plans as it did for the whole world. Becky revealed in May 2020 that she was expecting her first child with her then fiancé Seth Rollins.
She took to social media to express her feelings and this is what she had to say regarding her pregnancy and future in the WWE:
“I have no idea what happens from here, but I do know that you’ve made all my dreams come true. I entered the PC in 2013 not knowing anyone, I’ll leave that same building tonight with my new family. Thank you all so much.”
Lynch also revealed that she always wanted to start her own family and raise kids although the opportunity never arrived earlier. She said that with Seth it was different and he made her realise that they could be together for the rest of their lives.
Becky has always been a bit disguised about her relationships in the past. She has never been in a public relationship. This was obviously before her relationship with Rollins who gave her the surety she always needed.
In December 2020, Becky announced to the world that she had given birth to a baby girl. Seth and Becky named her Roux.
In June 2021, Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch finally announced that they tied the knot roughly two years after they got engaged. This came six months after they welcomed their first child Roux into the world.
As of August 2021, Becky Lynch returned to the WWE after an absence that lasted roughly round about a year. She has since won her SmackDown Women’s championship back and is the current SmackDown Women’s Champion.
