Rafael Nadal will face John Isner in the round of 32 at the Italian Open 2022 on Wednesday, May 11th.
Earlier this year, Rafael Nadal won his 21st Grand Slam title and wrote his name into the history books. But the Spaniard has not enjoyed the best of times ever since. John Isner made it to the second round of the Italian Open after beating Francisco Cerundolo 6-4, 6-3 on Tuesday. The big American will now face a stern challenge in the form of Nadal on Wednesday. The 37-year old had reached the semi-finals of the Dallas Open but has otherwise had a rather underwhelming year till date.
