The 24-year-old Jack Perry is signed to AEW and wrestles under the ring name “Jungle Boy”.
Recently, veteran pro wrestling commentator and WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross, who is a commentator in AEW has been announcing Jungle Boy by his original name during his matches. Jungle Boy Jack Perry is what JR is using currently.
A section of fans hasn’t liked JR calling Jungle Boy by his original name. However, one fan tried explaining on Twitter, the reason JR is calling one-half of the AEW World Tag Team Champions by his real name.
According to the fan, AEW and JR are setting Perry up for the future, because when he pushes 30, “Jungle Boy” won’t be an apt name any longer.
Some fans have contradicted mentioning how Ric Flair was called “Nature Boy” Ric Flair all his life. Popular journalist Dave Meltzer quote retweeted the tweet from the fan who was backing JR’s strategy and wrote: “You would think that would be obvious.”
