John Krasinski

John Krasinski is best known for his roles in The Office and A Quiet Place, but his filmography includes numerous other credits as well. Additionally, he directed multiple movies himself before founding Sunday Night Productions – his own production company!

Jack Ryan Season 2 begins when the CIA agent tracks down a suspicious shipment of illegal arms in Venezuela’s jungle and uncovers a wide-reaching conspiracy. Subsequently, President Chavez of Venezuela launches a counter-attack that strikes close to home for Jack; thus prompting him and his colleagues to go on an international mission against their President’s sinister plan.

Krasinski, Wendell Pierce and Noomi Rapace return as series regulars in season two of this Netflix original show. Additionally, Jovan Adepo, Jordi Molla, Francisco Denis and Cristina Umana have recently joined as recurring cast members; Dennie Gordon from Goliath/Power will direct three episodes.

Wendell Pierce

Amazon Prime Video’s Tom Clancy series Jack Ryan will resume where its first season left off with Ryan coming into conflict with forces of power in a dangerous and declining democratic regime in South America. John Hoogenakker returns as Black Ops operative Matice; Michael Kelly plays CIA field officer Mike November; Jovan Adepo plays former special Navy crewman Marcus; Cristina Umana portrays politician Gloria Bonalde; Francisco Denis takes the role of Senior Government Official Ubarri.

Low-level CIA financial analyst Jack Ryan suspects that $9 Million worth of suspicious financial transactions might be related to an Islamic terrorist known as Suleiman and seeks help from James Greer of the Terrorist Finance and Arms Division for his investigation.

Dennie Gordon will direct three episodes of this hit NBC show that stars John Krasinski as the titular CIA agent – following in the footsteps of Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, and Ben Affleck in playing this role – as well as Abbie Cornish who will be featured in an undisclosed role.

Noomi Rapace

Noomi Rapace, best known for her roles as Lisbeth Salander in the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo films, has joined Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan season two cast as Harriet Baumann, a German intelligence agent who meets Ryan in South America. Her BAFTA nomination promises an “formidable presence”.

The second season shifts away from terrorism to South American democracy in decline, where Ryan must confront those in power. Co-creators Carleton Cuse and Graham Roland will return, alongside Krasinski as Ryan, Wendell Pierce as James Greer and Wendall Pierce as his superior.

Allan Hawco has built his career both behind and in front of the camera but is best known as one of Canada’s premier actors. Born in Goulds, Newfoundland but raised in St John’s he attended the National Theatre School before co-founding Toronto’s Company Theatre. Hawco also appeared in films and television series such as Clement Virgo’s adaptation of Lawrence Hill’s The Book of Negroes as well as Paul Gross’s action thriller Hyena Road

He found his role of Gale on Jack Ryan to be ideal; its mix of comedy, action and romance in an environment bridging illegality with legality proved ideal for him. Additionally, his co-stars proved “the greatest group to work with”. Filming took place last summer in Colombia.

Dennie Gordon

After an immensely popular first season, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan is back for more action-packed adventure in its sophomore run. John Krasinski reprises his role as Jack Ryan, and looks leaner than ever! Check out the first trailer below.

Conclusion

Carlton Cuse and Graham Roland have returned as executive producers on the series, with Abbie Cornish returning as CIA operative Cathy Mueller. Wendell Pierce will reprise his role as mentor James Greer while Noomi Rapace appears as Harriet Baumann (German intelligence agent). Dina Shihabi won’t reprise her role of Islamic terrorist Suleiman and we can assume Ali Suliman won’t either.

Tom Wlaschiha of Game of Thrones will join its cast as Max Schenkel, a foreign agent with unknown motives who crosses paths with Jack Ryan.
