Liverpool vs Tottenham predictions: Liverpool Line-up

Liverpool welcome Tottenham at Anfield on Sunday as we enter the business end of the 2018/19 Premier League season.

The Reds sit top of the table but they have played a game more than Manchester City, who in turn could leapfrog them at the summit as they play on Saturday.

Tottenham, meanwhile, visit Liverpool not in a great run of form having lost three and drawn one of their last four domestic matches.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is in rehabilitation for a back injury, meaning he’ll miss the game on Sunday. But Xherdan Shaqiri should be fit for the weekend after recovering from a groin problem that kept him out of the international duty.

Alisson Becker (GK)

Alisson is the Reds’ first-choice keeper and should keep his place in the team against Tottenham.

James Milner (RB)

With Alexander-Arnold injured, James Milner will certainly start at right-back on Sunday.

Matip has done extremely well since getting a run in after Gomez’s injury. He has been imperious alongside Virgil van Dijk.

Virgil van Dijk (CB)

A colossus at the back, Van Dijk will have a task cut out to keep Kane at bay on Sunday.

Andy Robertson (LB)

The Scotsman is the undisputed first-choice left-back in the team and is expected to start against Spurs.

Fabinho (CDM)

Fabinho has been excellent in the defensive midfield role for Liverpool. He is an undoubted starter in Sunday’s game.

Jordan Henderson (RCM)

Henderson’s experience and leadership qualities will be crucial at the weekend as Liverpool look to beat Tottenham.

Georginio Wijnaldum (LCM)

Wijnaldum is one of the underrated players in the Premier League. His energy, work-rate and ability to pick a pass keep the Reds ticking all over the pitch.

Mohamed Salah (RW)

Salah is experiencing a dry spell in front of goal. He needs to turn up and deliver a stellar performance at the weekend.

Sadio Mane (LW)

Mane is in red-hot form at the moment, scoring six goals in his last four games across all competitions. He is likely to be a key player for Liverpool.
