Jeffrey Lynn Green a.k.a Jeff Green was the 2007, Round 1, 5th overall draft pick by the Boston Celtics (later traded to Seattle SuperSonics / Oklahoma City Thunder). Green plays in the position of Power forward / Center and he is also named to the 2008 NBA All-Rookie First Team.

Green played college basketball for Georgetown University from 2004 to 2007. He had an extraordinary college basketball career and consequently won the 2005 Big East Rookie of the Year award. He was also named to the All-Big East Second Team in 2006. In 2007, Green was named the Big East Player of the Year.

After playing college basketball, Green was selected fifth overall in the 2007 NBA draft by the Boston Celtics. However, he was later traded to the Seattle SuperSonics / Oklahoma City Thunder.

Green played for the Oklahoma City Thunder from 2007 to 2011. During his time with the Thunder, Green was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team in 2008.

On February 24, 2011, Green was traded to the Boston Celtics. He played for the Celtics from 2011 to 2015. During his time with the Celtics, Green averaged a career-best of 17.6 points per game, in the 2014-15 season.

Then on January 12, 2015, Green was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies. Again, on February 18, 2016, Green was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers.

On July 7, 2016, Green signed with the Orlando Magic. Subsequently, on July 11, 2017, Green signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Along with the Cavaliers, Green reached the 2018 NBA Finals but could not win the championship.

On July 10, 2018, Green signed with the Washington Wizards. Then on July 20, 2019, Green signed with the Utah Jazz. However, the Jazz waived Green on December 24, 2019.

In 2020, Green played for the Houston Rockets. Next on November 23, 2020, Green signed with the Brooklyn Nets.

Finally, on August 12, 2021, Green signed with the Denver Nuggets.
