Jiri Lehecka is a Czech professional Tennis player, currently ranked World No. 39 in ATP singles. Lehecka is currently the No. 1 Czech tennis player in singles and is a well-known name on the ATP tour. Lehecka has won a number of Challenger titles but is yet to win a professional title in his ATP career till date.

Lehecka turned pro in 2020 and made a mark on the ATP tour in 2021, winning two singles and three doubles Challenger titles. In 2022, the 21-year-old made his Major debut at the Australian Open but suffered a first-round exit. Lehecka was impressive in his debut ATP tournament in Rotterdam, where he reached the semi-finals and in the process, defeated top stars like Denis Shapovalov, van de Zandschulp and Lorenzo Musetti. He became the lowest-ranked Rotterdam semifinalist since then-World No. 225 Omar Camporese in 1995 and with this performance, he broke into the top 100 of the ATP men’s singles rankings.

Lehecka made his debut in all four Grand Slams in 2022, but didn’t really have any good fortune. However, things did take a positive turn this year as Lehecka managed to make it to the fourth round of the Australian Open. He defeated top seeds like Cameron Norrie and Felix Auger-Aliassime in the first Grand Slam of the year and as a result, reached his career-best ranking of World No. 39.
