Philadelphia 76ers have been on a great run of form lately. They have won 80% of their last 10 games, defeating some of the strong teams like the Nets, Spurs, Celtics, and Miami Heat. The main catalyst for this run has been their star center Joel Embiid.
Embiid is averaging 34 points in the last 5 games and 32.8 points in the last 10. This includes his massive 50 point game against the Magic, played on 19th January. Embiid scored 50 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in just 27 mins of game time.
Although it was not a dominant performance from the team, winning the game by 123-110 against the Magic, Embiid played huge 3 quarters in the game. Tobias Harris was a distant second with 21 points for the team.
The Other Center in the game, Mohamed Bamba scored 32 points for the Magic, while other players were struggling with the points. Power forward Chuma Okeke scored 18 off the bench, but team defense couldn’t stop Embiid, costing them the game.
