Wrestling world reacts as Jon Moxley checks into inpatient alcohol treatment program

Jon Moxley is one of the top stars on AEW but Tony Khan broke the news of the alcohol treatment program 

Former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley is entering an inpatient alcohol treatment program, as confirmed by the head of AEW Tony Khan.

Moxley, who was participating in an AEW world title eliminator tournament and had fought stars from other promotions till recently, was provided a lot of support by the AEW President.

Khan posted on Twitter that the news of Moxley checking in was released after he had spoken to the wrestler.

Khan added that Moxley was a “beloved member” of the AEW family and all the support would be provided to his wife, family and friends.

“Jon Moxley has allowed me to share with you that he is entering an inpatient alcohol treatment program.  Jon is a beloved member of the AEW family. We all stand with him and Renee, and all of his family and friends, as he shifts his focus to recovery.”

The AEW President also went on to say that he was proud of Moxley’s decision to check into the program. Khan added that Moxley would return to the ring when he was ready and wanted privacy for the wrestler and his family.

Wrestling world comes out in support of Jon Moxley

Admitting you have an alcohol issue is always difficult and credit must be given to Moxley for taking this step.

The former AEW and WWE champion is one of the bets performers in the business. However, this is a great battle that he has to win.

Many wrestlers reacted to this news to share their support for Moxley. Several top wrestling journalists also wished Mox the best, and we here at Mediareferee also wish that the Lunatic Fringe, as he was called in WWE, comes out on top in this battle.
