Valanciunas started playing basketball during his school days. He is one of the top players in his school’s history and also created several records in the Utena district. After his long run with the Raptors, he was traded to the Grizzlies in exchange for a 2024 second-round draft pick. In a match against the Houston Rockets, Valanciunas scored a massive 33 points with 15 rebounds and set his career-high score. In the two seasons with the Grizzlies, Valanciunas was in his prime.
