Pena moved to Conquest of the Cage in December 2011. Following a win over Rachael Swatez she suffered her first defeat, at the hands of Sarah Moras by means of TKO due to a doctor stoppage.
In 2013 Pena moved to the UFC. At the Ultimate Fighter: Team Rousey vs Team Tate Finale, Pena became the first woman to win the Ultimate Fighter. She beat Jessica Rakoczy by TKO in the first round.
Pena then went on to beat Milana Dudieva, Jessica Eye and Cat Zingano before taking on the great Valentina Shevchenko. However, Shevchenko submitted her in only the second round.
Pena then bounced back with a win over Nicco Montano before succumbing to yet another submission loss, this time against Germaine de Randamie at UFC on ESPN: Holm vs Aldana.
She then got back to winning ways after beating Sara McMann at UFC 257.
