Jungle Boy Career
Jack Perry started his career on the independent circuit in 2015 at Underground Empire Wrestling’s 2015 West Coast Cruiser Cup under the ring name Nate Coy.
This was also the promotion where he was given the ring name of “Jungle Boy” since he had a lot of similarities to Tarzan. Coy went on to win the 2016 West Coast Cruiser Cup.
On August 17, 2018, Coy won the All-Pro Wrestling professional wrestling championship but later lost to his high school friend Jake Atlas at the Bay Area Bash.
Jungle Boy formed a tag team with fellow wrestler Luchasaurus. Coy wrestled as a tribute to his late father against his father’s friend, actor, and former WCW World Heavyweight Champion David Arquette. Coy won the match.
Coy was signed by AEW under the ring name Jungle Boy and made his debut at AEW’s inaugural event Double or Nothing on May 25 in a pre-show Casino Battle Royale but was eliminated by Jimmy Havoc.
Jungle Boy and his tag-team partner Luchasaurus allied with Marko Stunt and created a new stable named “Jurassic Express.” Unfortunately, the Jurassic Express was defeated by SoCal Uncensored at All Out in a six-man tag-team match.
Jungle Boy won his first match in AEW after the Jurassic Express defeated Strong Hearts but couldn’t win any games at major PPV events or even in Dynamite.
Finally, at Double or Nothing, Jungle Boy won the Casino Battle Royale by eliminating Christian Cage, which gave him a chance for a match against The Belt Collector Kenny Omega, but he lost against him.
