Karolina Muchova was born on August 21, 1996 in Olomouc, Czech Republic to former Czech footballer Josef Muchova (father) and Hana Muchova (mother).

Her brother Filip Muchova is currently an active professional footballer. Muchova resides in her home country of the Czech Republic when she is not away on tour. When it comes to her love life, she is currently single and is completely focusing on her Tennis career.

She is a very private person and hasn’t revealed much about herself in the public domain. There are no records of any past relationships either.

How has Karolina Muchova’s career been so far?

Karolina Muchova burst onto the professional circuit in 2013 as a 16-year-old. However, she had to wait until 2019 to win her maiden WTA title.

She won her first WTA senior title at the 2019 Korean Open, beating Magda Linette in the final. She started being consistent in the professional arena over the next couple of years and achieved her career-best ranking of No.19 in 2021. However, she had a gradual decline since then but has resurrected her career following an epic run at the 2023 French Open.

She is a specialist singles player and has rarely played doubles on the professional tour. The Czech ace is currently ranked World No.42 in women’s singles – her career-best ranking till date being No.19, which she achieved in 2021. She has won 1 WTA title in her professional career till date besides 2 ITF singles titles and 1 ITF doubles title.

Muchova’s incredible run at the 2023 French Open deserves special mention. She began her campaign with a huge upset over No.8 seed Maria Sakkari in straight sets 7-6, 7-5.

This win was enough to put her in the limelight but she just went on to make things better for herself. In the second round, she got the better of Nadia Podoroska in three sets. The Czech star then went on to beat 27th seed Irina-Camelia Begu 6-3, 6-2 followed by victories against Elina Avanesyan and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova to progress to the Semi-finals of the clay-court Grand Slam.
