Dricus Du Plessis got a big win but that was not the only talking point from the fight it seems
South African MMA star Dricus Du Plessis picked up the biggest UFC win of his career at UFC 290.
The 29-year-old took on former UFC Middleweight Champion Robert Whittaker, and this was a title eliminator. The winner was to go on and face Israel Adesanya, who was seated in the crowds.
Du Plessis put on a performance to remember as he dispatched the former champion in style. The win came after some hard hits on Whittaker, who had to protect himself and the referee called off the fight.
Du Plessis had some viral moments after the win too but there was one event that had quite a few people talking. In between rounds, it seemed that one of Du Plessis’ coaches grabbed the MMA star’s d*ck as he prepared for the next round.
This also caught the attention of adult star and huge MMA fan Kendra Lust. The adult star put up a hilarious caption regarding this moment from the fight, and it seemed to be perfect for this situation.
“Always stay ready .. i don’t think thats what it means lol”
“Always star ready” can be used to describe how fighters should always be ready for action, but this could also work for adult stars.
Dricus Du Plessis to face Israel Adesanya at UFC 293
There was an intense face-off between Du Plessis and the champion, Israel Adesanya, after the fight. A lot was said by Adesanya regarding Du Plessis’ African roots with Adesanya also being born in the continent.
However, Adesanya is part Kiwi now, and there has been a lot of talk about who a real African is in all this.
There already is a lot of bad blood between the two stars, and the pair will get their chance to fight each other at UFC 293.
Adesanya is considered as one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time and recently defeated Alex Pereira to reclaim his title.
However, Du Plessis has proved that he isn’t a flash in the pan. Whittaker is a difficult opponent to fight, and the South African beating the former champion easily means he is ready for a title fight.
