Kendra Lust pleads for the UFC to return to Detroit for future cards

Detroit has held a couple of UFC cards but Kendra Lust wants more

The UFC has become one of the biggest combat promotions in the world and is the biggest MMA promotion.

The company now has an international footprint and has held events across the world. The UAE, England, Brazil, Australia, Russia, Canada, China and many other countries have played host to UFC cards multiple times.

Many states and cities in the USA have also become home to the UFC with the Apex in Las Vegas hosting several Fight Night events. The PPVs go to bigger arenas but there still is a need for the UFC to visit other cities from time to time, at least according to another fan.

Kendra Lust is a huge MMA fan and has been pictured with some of the biggest names in the world. The adult star quickly asked the UFC to visit Detroit soon, and some fans also agreed with her statement.

Kendra Lust posted this tweet on social media

One fan even claimed that a Fight Night event would be great, however, there doesn’t seem to be any future plans from the UFC to host an event in Detroit.

How many UFC events have been held in Detroit?

While the UFC has visited several cities in the US for their cards, Las Vegas is a hit after hosting over 200 events for the promotion.

Detroit, for their part, has only held two cards so far in the history of the UFC. The first one came early on at UFC 9: Motor City Madness which was held in May 1996.

This was the first UFC event not to feature a tournament-style format and the main fight was between Dan Severn and Ken Shamrock. Severn beat Shamrock via split decision.

Detroit had to wait more than a decade for their second UFC card. This was UFC 218: Holloway vs Aldo 2, with Max Holloway beating Jose Aldo for the Featherweight title.

The co-main event wasn’t bad too with Francis Ngannou beating Alistair Overeem in a Heavyweight title eliminator.
