Chandler’s interest towards basketball popped up during high school. He joined the Briarcrest Christian School to play basketball. His heroic performances in freshman year helped his team to enter the Division II-AA semifinals. Chandler’s form continued in his senior season, as he averaged 19.5 points with four rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. This time he led his team to grab the DII-AA state title and was awarded the most valuable player of the season title. Season after season the Point guard’s performance has increased, as he averaged 22.2 points with 4.3 assists and 2.6 steals per game, which is higher than his sophomore season average. To prepare himself for college-level basketball, he joined Sunrise Christian Academy in Bel Aire, Kansas.
Chandler wished to join Tennessee by rejecting the offers from Duke, Kentucky, North Carolina and Memphis. His debut for Tennessee came up against UT Martin, as he scored a massive 20 points with four assists in the game. His brilliant performance fetched him a place in the Second Team All-SEC as well as the All-Freshman Team. Chandler decided to enter the 2022 NBA draft after completing his senior year.
