It’s been an interesting off-season for the two-time finals MVP and 12-time all-star Kevin Durant. Durant requested a trade this summer to the Brooklyn Nets’ management, and since then he has been the talk of the town in the NBA.
All eyes are on where Kevin Durant will end up after the trade. Which team will acquire the legendary player?
At this point in the offseason, it’s clear that Kevin Durant is willing to leave the Brooklyn Nets. His recent actions have made this very clear.
The Boston Celtics is one of Kevin Durant’s potential teams where he could be heading to, and it appears he is already teaming up with Jayson Tatum.
Out of all the possible trades on the table for KD, the Boston Celtics appear to have the best position. The Celtics have reportedly contacted the Nets for a package featuring Jaylen Brown to acquire KD.
However, the Nets are waiting for the Celtics to sweeten their offer, which includes the reigning defensive player of the year, Marcus Smart.
After attending Draymond Green’s wedding, Tatum was seen alongside Kevin Durant practicing in Los Angeles. These have led to some speculations that Boston is the place and Tatum is the man that Kevin Durant wants to play.
Tatum and Durant Training Together shouldn’t come as a surprise to many, given that rival stars often tain together over the summer. If KD makes the move to Boston, it’s hard to imagine the duo haven’t discussed teaming up in Boston.
Celtics head coach IME Udoka was an assistant to the Nets and already has a relationship with KD. So if there are any KD trades to be made in the near future, Boston would be the favorite for him.
