Kevin Owens reacts to NXT TakeOver: WarGames appearance and claims it was an “honour”

Kevin Owens was the fourth member of Tommaso Ciampa’s team that faced the Undisputed Era at TakeOver: WarGames

NXT TakeOver: WarGames had some great matches and a surprise return of Kevin Owens too.

The former WWE Universal champion is set to feature at Survivor Series 2019. KO is a member of the Raw five-man squad for the triple threat elimination match but was in action at WarGames too.

The Canadian turned out to be fourth mystery partner for Tommaso Ciampa’s WarGames team as they beat the Undisputed Era.

Owens has turned face in recent weeks and he is a former NXT champion too. The Canadian seemed pumped up for his return, which could have caught some off guard.

A crazy WarGames fight

There were some incredible spots during the match too, and this lived up to the WarGames name for sure.

Adam Cole was also involved in some crazy moments during the match too, and it sets up Survivor Series perfectly.

Owens was the first to speak out when asked how they all felt.

“NXT, never change. Chicago, never change. Tonight was an honour,”

He then shared some expletives as the emotion got to him, but wanted the current NXT stars to take the limelight.

Ciampa and team star against the UE

The Undisputed Era might be one of the best factions to have come up in recent years, and Ciampa highlighted that his teammates didn’t have a lot of WarGames experience.

However, Keith Lee and Dominik Dijakovic were great against the UE, and they even spoke about how great the moment was.

Lee highlighted how he was watching from the crowd a few years ago. However, The NXT star was pleased that he was part of one of the biggest PPVs.

The trio did well as a team, but it will be interesting to see if any of them are in the running for the Survivor Series squad.

Shawn Michaels will name the NXT team for the triple threat match. The Heartbreak Kid is set to announce the five-man side at the Survivor Series kickoff show.

It will be interesting to see if any of the UE or Ciampa’s team are named for the Sunday PPV as several of them took heavy hits.
