Bryan Kevin Porter Jr. a.k.a Kevin Porter Jr. was the Round 1, 30th overall draft pick by the Milwaukee Bucks (later traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers) in 2019. Porter Jr. plays in the position of Point guard / Shooting guard and he is also the 2018 Washington Mr. Basketball.
Porter played college basketball for the University of Southern California from 2018 to 2019. During his college career, Porter averaged 9.5 points, 1.4 assists, and 4.0 rebounds per game.
In 2019, Porter declared for the 2019 NBA draft, forgoing his final three years of college eligibility. Consequently, Porter was selected thirtieth overall by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2019 NBA Draft. However, he was later traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers via the Detroit Pistons.
Porter played for the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2019 to 2021. In his rookie year, that is the 2019-20 season, Porter played 50 games, averaging 10.0 points, 2.2 assists, and 3.2 rebounds per game.
Notably, Porter started the 2020–2021 season inactive due to his off-season weapons charge. Then on January 18, 2021, the Cavaliers announced that Porter would either be traded or released following an outburst regarding a locker change.
Three days later, on January 21, 2021, Porter was ultimately traded to the Houston Rockets. Interestingly, he did not play a single game with the Cavaliers in the 2020–2021 season.
