Nurmagomedov made the news when he beat Conor McGregor at UFC 229 which also drew 2.4million pay-per-view purchases, the largest in the history of the promotion. Khabib is also the only UFC fighter along with Jon Jones to have a 100% record in UFC. He has won 29 out of 29 games.

The 31-year-old hails from the Dagestan region in Russia and also holds the longest undefeated streak in MMA.

Nurmagomedov has won all 28 of his fights in MMA with his last triumph coming in UFC 254 against Justin Gaethje.

There aren’t many pictures of Nurmagomedov’s wife on social media as the fighter tries to keep a low profile regarding his family.

Nurmagomedov was married in June 2013 and named his son after his great-grandfather Magomed Nurmagomedov.

This was a promise he made to his mother claiming this would be his final fight. Khabib didn’t want to continue fighting after his father passed away but went ahead with this clash.
