Khamzat Chimaev claimed that he was stopped from entering Ireland to fight Conor McGregor

Swedish MMA star Khamzat Chimaev has continued his fight on social media against Conor McGregor.

The 26-year-old Chimaev is one of the rising stars in the UFC after two impressive fights. Chimaev fought two opponents in different weight classes in a span of 10 days at Fight Island.

Not only did he end both fights but he was totally dominant and was barely hit. Many are calling him the next big thing in the UFC but McGregor isn’t impressed.

He called the Swede “rat lip” in a deleted Instagram comment. Chimaev has asked Dana White to set this fight up.

The Swede seems set for another UFC bout fairly soon but he spoke about trying to beat up McGregor in the past.

The Swede posted on Twitter that he flew to Ireland before McGregor fought Khabib Nurmagomedov for the Lightweight title.

However, Chimaev wasn’t allowed to enter the country, which he claims:

“True story I flew to Ireland before Khabib fight to beat up Conor mcgregor for what he said about our honor but they would not let me in the country. You need big security @TheNotoriousMMA weak man”

Ready to go again

The Swede currently holds an MMA record of eight wins and no losses. He has spoken about wanting to win a title in the UFC and is open to trying it out in the Welterweight or Middleweight divisions.

The 26-year-old is expected to fight again in August or September, and it will be interesting to see what is next for him.

Khabib had destroyed McGregor in the past after the Irishman had some disparaging comments to make regarding the Russian star. He even stoked controversy after comparing Khabib’s wife to a towel.

McGregor deleted that post after being slammed on social media, and it is interesting that Chimaev is speaking about his travels from the past.

He might be trying to get a clash with McGregor next and that would be huge, even though he is just two-fights old in the UFC.
