Predicted Brighton and Hove Albion XI to face Burnley in the Premier League
Brighton and Hove Albion climbed up to the top ten in the Premier League standings with a comfortable 3-1 over Crystal Palace on Tuesday, thanks to goals from Glenn Murray, Leon Balogun and Florin Andone.
The Seagulls will have a chance to make it three wins out of three when they make the trip to Turf Moor to face a struggling Burnley side.
Chris Hughton’s men are currently high on confidence and they will be the outright favourites to bag all three points while Burnley will need to come up with something extraordinary to upset the odds.
Team News
Glenn Murray suffered a shoulder injury against Palace while Jose Izquierdo took a knock and both the players will be assessed ahead of Saturday’s clash.
Shane Duffy faces a three-game suspension for the red card that he picked up in the last game while Alireza Jahanbakhsh and Bruno Saltor will be pushing for a return. Dale Stephens will be back in contention after serving a three-game suspension.
Formation: 4-3-3
Manager: Chris Hughton
Predicted XI
1. Matt Ryan (GK)
The Australian had a good game against Palace and has always been a reliable presence between the sticks.
2. Martin Montoya (RB)
The former Barcelona man looked solid against Crystal Palace and Hughton should continue to rely on him.
3. Lewis Dunk (CB)
The Englishman had an excellent outing against Palace and has been one of the standout performers for the Seagulls at the back this season.
4. Leon Balogun (CB)
He came on as a substitute after Duffy was sent off against Palace and got himself a goal with a stunning volley.
5. Bernardo (LB)
The Brazilian played a crucial role in the last game, clearing the ball off the line to preserve Brighton’s lead.
6. Davy Propper (CM)
The Dutchman was the star of the show for Brighton in the midfield against Palace and they will need him to deliver once again.
7. Pascal Gross (RAM)
He has shown signs of returning to his best in recent weeks and Hughton should continue to back him as he is one of their star players.
8. Yves Bissouma (LAM)
He showed a lot of energy in the last game and deserves a start for this one as well.
9. Solly March (RW)
He has been one of the pivots of Brighton’s attack this season and impressed on the right of the front three against Palace.
10. Anthony Knockaert (LW)
The injury to Jose Izquierdo might prompt Hughton to give the Frenchman a start.
