Kurt Busch made his NASCAR debut in 2000 for Roush Racing. He drove Ford Taurus with sponsors from Sharpie, Crown Royal, Rubbermaid, and Clevite. He finished third in his third season of the NASCAR Cup Series and won the title in his fifth season with the Ford Taurus. Busch drove #2 blue colored Dodge for Penske Racing South which he drove while winning the 2006 Food City 500.
Kurt Busch’s personal car collections include Chevrolet Camaro, Ford GT, Chevrolet Corvette, Dodge Challenger, and Shelby Cobra. In his last NASCAR cup series, Busch drove a Toyota 23XI Racing. Before his retirement, Kurt Busch suffered a crash at Pocono Raceway in Toyota. Busch suffered a crash after his car hit the wall. Reports revealed he experienced concussion symptoms and he was ruled out of the competition. In 2015, Kurt Busch participated in the Sprint Unlimited at Daytona and suffered a small crash in the event.
Kurt Busch didn’t experience major car accidents during his peak days. In 2024, Busch was charged with DWI in North Carolina where he drove over 60mph in Iredell County. His blood alcohol level was 0.17 and he pleaded guilty after the incident.
