Predicted 4-3-3 Derby County XI to face Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship
Derby County suffered a 3-0 humbling at the hands of Aston Villa before the international break and Frank Lampard’s men will be looking to get their campaign back on track when they make the trip to the Hillsborough to face Sheffield Wednesday this weekend.
The Rams currently sit 6th in the Championship standings, five points behind table-toppers Norwich City and they will be looking to claim all three points against the Owls to climb further up the table.
Sheffield Wednesday will be looking to turn their fortunes around on Saturday after picking up only a solitary point from their last five outings in the Championship.
Team News
Craig Bryson and George Evans are doubtful to feature on Saturday as they are yet to regain full fitness while Mason Mount continues to be on the sidelines to nurse his injured ankle.
Craig Forsyth and Marcus Olsson are ruled out due to cruciate ligament injuries while Mason Bennett is set to miss out due to a hamstring issue.
Formation: 4-3-3
Manager: Frank Lampard
Predicted XI
1. Scott Carson (GK)
He made some good saves in the last game and has always been a reliable presence between the sticks.
2. Jayden Bogle (RB)
He struggled to cope with Villa’s pacy attackers in the last game but Lampard should continue to rely on him as he has shown plenty of promise this season.
3. Fikayo Tomori (CB)
The English U21 international wasn’t at the top of his game in the previous outing and should aim to put in a solid shift at the back this weekend.
3. Richard Keogh (CB)
He was the pick of Derby’s defenders in the 3-0 defeat against Villa and should continue to excel.
5. Scot Malone (LB)
The injury to Craig Forsyth could open the door for him to get a start.
6. Harry Wilson (RAM)
The youngster has been doing exceptionally well for the Rams this term and will once again hold the key to their success this weekend.
7. Duane Holmes (LAM)
Showed some promise in that 3-0 defeat and will be expected to step up his game for this fixture.
8. Tom Huddlestone (CM)
The former Spurs man is one of the pivots of Derby’s midfield and a lot will rest on his shoulders.
9. Florian Jozefzoon (RW)
The Dutchman should be the favourite to start in the absence of Mason Bennett, who went off injured in the last game.

The Englishman has been in decent form in the Championship this season and will be expected to deliver the goods on Saturday.
