Laura Robson debuted on the ITF Junior Circuit back in 2007 and won the Junior Wimbledon championships in 2008 at the age of 14. She turned pro in 2008. Her best performance in the Australian Open came in 2013 when she reached the third round. She managed to reach the fourth round of the 2012 US Open and the Wimbledon a year later. She did not manage to reach beyond the first round as far as Roland Garros was concerned.
In doubles competition, she reached the quarter-final of the 2010 Australian Open. In mixed doubles, her best performance came in the 2012 Wimbledon when she progressed to the third round before being ousted.
She teamed with Andy Murray in the 2012 Summer Olympics held in London, United Kingdom and managed to win silver for her country.
In her career, Laura Robson managed to win 176 matches and lost 166 in singles competition with a win percentage of 51.5. She won 3 ITF titles in her career and her highest ranking was No. 27 which she achieved on 8 July 2013.
In doubles competition, she was victorious in 75 matches while the rub of the green did not go her way on 67 occasions with a win percentage of 52.8. She managed to win 4 ITF titles and reached her career-best ranking of No. 82 on 17 March 2014.
She missed the entire 2020 and 2021 seasons owing to continuos injuries and multiple hip surgeries. The 28-year-old announced her retirement from tennis earlier this year on 16 May, prior to the 2022 French Open.
