LeBron James has shared his two cents on Dennis Schroder recently completing a trade deal back to the Los Angeles Lakers, where he will return after a hiatus of only a year.
Dennis Schroder has completed a trade deal back to the Los Angeles Lakers. The German basketball player is a point guard who has played in the NBA for nearly ten years after being drafted by Atlanta Hawks in the 2013 draft, and since, has gone on to play for Oklahoma City Thunder, Boston Celtics and Houston Rockets – sandwiching a spell with the Los Angeles Lakers.
The NBA veteran rejoins the franchise on a one-year deal, returning to the franchise that gave him an unceremonious sending-off after he played a solitary season with the Lakers in the 2020/21 season.
Schröder’s first spell with the Lakers was a forgettable one, as he was publicly criticized by fans as well as Lakers legend Magic Johnson for his attitude and mentality.
With a major decrease in value, Schröder spent the next season with Boston Celtics and Houston Rockets but could not shine for either of the two – but now the Lakes have roped him in again.
According to reports, Schröder signed a one-year contract worth $2.4m deal that will keep him at the Lakers until the end of the season, and his old teammate LeBron James welcomed him back.
King James went on his Instagram to welcome his old teammate to the franchise once again.
LeBron looked excited to run it back with Schröder once again, as he posted a picture of himself with the German captioned as “Yessir! So damn happy to have you back!! You’re like that!!! LFG!!!”
It was a statement that evidently showed LeBron’s excitement to be linking up with his old teammate Schröder again, as the Lakers continue to fill depth in their back court – building a strong team to challenge for the NBA Championship in the upcoming season.
