American football defensive tackle Leonard Austin Williams was born on June 20, 1994. He now plays for the New York Giants, which is a member of the National Football League (NFL). In the 2015 NFL Draft, the New York Jets selected him as the sixth overall choice in the first round. This placed him sixth overall in the draft. He attended USC during his college football career.
In early life, Williams received his secondary education at Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, Florida, where he took part in the sports of football and track and field. It was thanks to his 103 tackles and 10.5 sacks that Mainland High School could advance all the way to the semi-finals of the FHSAA 6A state championship, where they were ultimately defeated by Miami Central. However, in August 2012, the loss was reversed since Miami Central was forced to lose the entirety of its season because of a transfer infraction.
