Liverpool prediction: Probable Reds XI to face Crystal Palace
After a draw in the Merseyside Derby, Liverpool are set to take on Crystal Palace on Wednesday at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp’s men failed to take maximum points on Sunday and would be raring to move closer to the title. They lacked sharpness up front and would be hoping to seal the deal on Wednesday.
However, Roy Hodgson’s men would be going into the game with high confidence after a 2-0 victory over Cherries in the first game after the break.

Joel Matip was forced out of action against Everton and is likely to miss the game at Anfield. Xherdan Shaqiri and Nathaniel Clyne are long-time absentees, whereas, Andy Robertson is doubtful for the game after missing out of the squad on Sunday. James Milner was also forced out with a hamstring injury against Everton and is set to remain on the sidelines.

Alisson Becker (GK)
The Brazilian shot-stopper has 11 clean sheets to his name and has been the first-choice shot-stopper for the Reds since his arrival at Anfield. He will remain in goal for Klopp’s team.
Trent Alexander-Arnold (RB)
The young English full-back has established himself as one of the key figures in the squad. He is Liverpool’s top assist-provider with 12 to his name and would be expected to deliver in this game.
Dejan Lovren (CB)
Lovren has not been at his best since returning from injury midway through the campaign. He has been a weak link at the back but is expected to start in the absence of Matip.
Virgil van Dijk (CB)
A leader at the back, Van Dijk’s presence has been vital for the Reds. He has helped the team keep 13 clean sheets and will be an undoubted starter against the Eagles.
Joe Gomez (LB)
The Englishman was brilliant in the previous game, coming on as a substitute for Milner. He should continue to don the role in the absence of Robertson.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (CM)
The 26-year-old has been reliable for the Reds whenever he has been on the field. He should be given the nod ahead of Naby Keita.
Fabinho (CDM)
The Brazilian was not at his best in the last outing and there are some shades of low confidence in his game. He will be key to breaking the opponent’s attacks on Wednesday. He needs to be at his best.
Jordan Henderson (CM)
The captain has been fantastic throughout the campaign and has led the team brilliantly. He will be an undoubted starter.
Mohammed Salah (RW)
The former Chelsea man is one of the best players in the team and there is no one in the league who has scored more goals than Salah since his arrival at Anfield. He needs to start ahead of Takumi Minamino.
Sadio Mane (LW)
The Senegalese international already has 14 goals to his name and will be hoping to add to his goal tally, especially after missing the target against Everton.
