Tottenham vs Huddersfield Town prediction: Tottenham line-up
Tottenham Hotspur play host to Huddersfield Town in the Premier League on Saturday looking to maintain their 100% record at their new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side defeated Manchester City 1-0 in the first leg of Champions League quarter-finals at home on Tuesday. Spurs are picking up form at the right time and go into Saturday’s game as clear favourites to win.
Huddersfield Town’s relegation have been confirmed and as they have nothing to lose, Jan Siewert’s side will play for pride at Tottenham.
Team News
Harry Kane hobbled off during Tuesday’s Champions League win over Manchester City and is ruled out for Saturday’s game. Dele Alli sustained a wrist injury in the second half and remains a doubt.
Meanwhile, Serge Aurier, Eric Dier and Erik Lamela remain sidelined for now.
Probable Tottenham XI
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Manager: Mauricio Pochettino
Hugo Lloris (GK)
Lloris proved his doubters wrong with a solid display between the sticks in the victory over Manchester City in the Champions League. He should start on Saturday.
Kieran Trippier (RB)
Trippier was solid as well, keeping the in-form Sterling at bay for the majority of the game. He is expected to start at right-back for Spurs.
Davinson Sanchez (CB)
Sanchez was an unused substitute on Tuesday but could be handed a start against a lowly, beaten Huddersfield side.
Toby Alderweireld (CB)
A rock at the back, Alderweireld should partner Sanchez in central defence on Saturday.
Ben Davies (LB)
With Rose having played against Manchester City in the Champions League, Pochettino could go with Ben Davies at left-back in the weekend’s league fixture.
Harry Winks (CM)
Winks enjoyed a good game against City and is expected to be handed a start against Huddersfield.
Victor Wanyama (CM)
Strong in the air and robust in the challenge, Wanyama will look to protect the backline and keep things tidy in the middle of the park.
Christian Eriksen (CAM)
A classy operator of the ball, Eriksen’s vision, work-rate and ability to pick the right pass in the final third has made him one of the first names on Pochettino’s team sheet.
Lucas Moura (RW)
With Alli doubtful, Pochettino won’t take a chance and go with the speedy Moura on the right. The diminutive Brazilian can give the Huddersfield defenders a torrid time with his blistering pace and intelligent movement in and around the box.
Son Heung-min (LW)
With 12 goals and five assists in the league, Son, who scored the winner against City in the Champions League on Tuesday, will look to step up for Tottenham in Kane’s absence.

Fernando Llorente (ST)
Llorente may not fit Pochettino’s style of play but he is a real handful for defenders due to his, hold-up play, physicality and aerial prowess.
