Lords of the Fallen, the souls-like RPG is a fantasy adventure that tasks players to explore two worlds simultaneously. The world of living is Axiom and the Umbral Realm is called the world of nightmare. Ominous signs start to approach once you spawn in the Umbral world. The Umbral Realm is full of obstacles and enemies spawn at higher levels. The difficulty keeps increasing and you have to collect some quest items to overcome traps and challenges here.
Umbral Realm has tons of puzzles and some boss battles. While in Axiom, you have to complete side-quests, campaign missions and boss battles. To beat the game, it’s necessary to switch between two realms. So, find everything about switching realities, completing puzzles and surviving traps in Lords of the Fallen.
Once you complete the tutorial, your journey in Lords of the Fallen will commence at Axiom realm. You can land in Umbral in different ways. The primary way is to get eliminated. Whenever you are killed, you will automatically land in Umrbal and your xp is lost as well. You won’t be able to save the lost progress in Axiom.
Again, you can use the Umbral Lamp and use its ability. An interaction will take you to the Umbral world. Also, you can use the Lamp on enemies and spawn in Umbral. You can teleport to Umbral in full health.
Umbral has many difficult challenges and they are non-optional. You can use the Umbral Lantern to Soulflay enemies and objects to survive for a long time. The loot is higher in the Umbral Realm, so make sure to maximize your resources and strengthen your skills.
The Umbral Lamp helps you cross hurdles easily. You can create a bridge, Soulflay traps and defeat enemies. Whenever you get time, you can build a Vestige check point and save your progress. The Vestige Seedlings can be used to rest, increase stats and save progress.
From Umbral, you can teleport to Axiom by simply resting at checkpoints or even by using the Emergency Effigies. In Umbral, you will be able to utilize Wither attacks and this is a special type of damage that gets triggered once you block an enemy’s attack. If the block technique is deployed, then your health bar changes to wither as well. You can simply counter Wither damage by dealing extra damage to opponents.
Umbral reality is a murky world and you have only one life in this realm. Getting killed in Umbral ends your progress in the game. So, you have to withstand and endure all traps to survive. The best way to solve puzzles in the Umbral Realm is to use the Lamp. The Lantern has a special skill and you can use it to Soulflay enemies and structures. You can create a path and cross terrains easily.
To complete puzzles in Umbral, you have to increase your strength, vitality and other stats by spending vestige seeds. This will increase your attacks and defense. You can play co-operatively as well. After completing a mission, ensure you have enough rest at Vestige to retrieve health and stamina. Make use of spells, gauntlets and status effects to counter monsters. You can also Soulflay enemies and utilize the wither damage effects to temporarily stun them.
Puzzles in Umbral Realm are non-optional and you have to complete them to progress and get the best endings. Once you complete a chapter, you can teleport to Axiom by resting at Vestige Seedlings.
