• Craft weapons by collecting resources from NPCs
• Some merchants sell weapons. You have to spend Vigor and collect them
• Farm Umbral Scouring by slaying bosses and returning these materials to NPCs. You will get weapons in exchange
• Defeat bosses and collect weapons and armor sets as rewards
• Increase your base stats. Stats like Strength, Radiance and Inferno grant bonus effects to your weapons. You have to increase these stats to unlock new weapons from traders
• All boss-type weapons and equipment in Lords of the Fallen can be collected from the NPC, Molhu. You have to trade Umbral Scouring to get them in exchange

These are the primary ways to get weapons in Lords of the Fallen. Some classes get starting weapons as free rewards and you can use those as well. Once you collect a weapon, you can upgrade them after completing a challenging. To upgrade weapons, you have to meet an NPC Blacksmith called Gerlinde.

You have to free Blacksmith from enemies. Once you defeat the Pieta enemy, you will get access to the hub near Vestige of Blind Agatha. Proceed further and slay enemies and then move to the cage. 

Gerlinde will be trapped inside along with other NPCs. You have to collect the key from an enemy by defeating it. Free Gerlinde from the cage and she will accept your deals. Then, you can regularly upgrade your weapons by spending vigor and other required resources.
