Alexander Zverev and Stefanos Tsitsipas will square off in the 2nd semifinal of the Madrid Open 2022 on Saturday, May 7th.
Alexander Zverev’s performances at Madrid Open 2022 so far
On Friday night, Alexander Zverev managed to beat Felix Auger-Aliassime in straight sets 6-3, 7-5 despite some problems with his serving. The German tennis star made eight double-faults in the second set but still came out victorious against the Canadian.
Zverev started his Madrid Open campaign this year by beating Marin Cilic 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 and then got to the quarter-finals after Lorenzo Musetti retired during his match against the 25-year-old.
Stefanos Tsitsipas’ performances at the Madrid Open 2022 so far
Meanwhile, Tsitsipas beat Andrey Rublev 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 on Friday night to book his place in the semifinals. The Greek star opened his Madrid Open campaign with a victory against Lucas Poullie and then overcame Grigor Dimitrov in the second round.
Tsitsipas won the Monte Carlo a few weeks ago and is now looking to build something special during this clay-court season.

Head to Head and Predictions
Zverev and Tsitsipas have faced each other on 10 occasions in the past. However, Tsitsipas has come out victorious in 7 of those games while Zverev has won 3.
Although both players seemed to have a few struggles getting to the semifinals of the Madrid Open, it appears that Tsitsipas is a lot more comfortable on clay. Our prediction is a win in three sets for the Greek star.
