The self-proclaimed ‘ruler of the world’, The Fiend Bray Wyatt, currently resides on SmackDown after his big win at the WWE Crown Jewel pay-per-view event.
He defeated Seth Rollins to win the Universal Championship and carried it to the blue brand from Monday Night Raw.
During the WWE Draft, FOX assigned The Fiend on SmackDown and hence the red-strapped belt will be treated as the prime one on Friday nights.
Now, it seems like WWE is planning a major championship match/main event of Survivor Series 2019 depending on this title.
With Brock Lesnar defending the WWE Championship at the PPV representing Monday Night Raw, Bray Wyatt will also be in action later this month.
According to the Wrestling Observer (h/t WWFOldSchool), The Fiend vs. Daniel Bryan for the Universal Championship is currently listed to take place at the Survivor Series 2019 pay-per-view.
The interesting part is that this match is billed to go last on the card instead of the RAW vs. SmackDown vs. NXT triple threat match. If this is the plan then The Fiend will feature in two back to back main event shows on PPVs.
The demonic persona began the feud with Daniel Bryan on last week’s episode of SmackDown, when he decided to victimize him at backstage.
This week, Bryan will address the attack on Miz TV perhaps to confirm the Survivor Series the matchup.
Meanwhile, Slice Wrestling provided more information regarding The Fiend’s title reign stating that he is likely to keep hold to the belt until Wrestlemania 36:
“Daniel Bryan will be a “face” heading into this program and WWE is excited at the in-ring excellence Bryan will bring to this feud.”
The report adds that WWE have no plans on The Fiend to drop his title and they want to make him the most “terrifying” character since The Undertaker.
The Fiend was excellent in his victory over Seth Rollins at Crown Jewel, and it will be interesting to see if WWE do confirm the match between Bryan and Wyatt for Survivor Series.
As of now, the Survivor Series 2019 match card stands as given below,
– WWE Championship Match: Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Rey Mysterio
