Dwayne Johnson is a man of multi-talents. Apart from being an actor and a businessman, Johnson also used to be a pro wrestler as well as a footballer. However, his failed career as a footballer gave rise to his wrestling and acting career.
Known as The Rock in WWE, he was one of the most well-known faces in the company, and he made for himself there among the top stars. However, he would later leave WWE to join Hollywood and shine there as an actor. Over the years, Johnson has found himself to be an essential part of several highly grossing movies.
Among several of his successful movies is, the ‘Fast and the Furious’ franchise. He made his debut in the franchise as Luke Hobbs in 2011 for the film, ‘Fast Five’. And, he would reoccur for several other films in the franchise, in the future. However, his main lead role in the saga came in 2019, when he starred in “Hobbs & Shaw”.
The film was a spin-off of the popular movie series. However, it was Johnson’s last appearance in a ‘Fast and Furious’ movie. Because of his cutoff from the series, his relationship with Vin Diesel soured. However, the producer of the movie, Kelly McCormick, recently gave disappointing news on the film’s future.
In an interview with ComicBook, McCormick revealed why the sequel was not happening. She revealed that there were a lot of seeds planted such as Ryan Reynolds and Kevin Hart in the film, however, none of them were confirmed.
She further said, ” I don’t know, I mean Dwayne’s a really busy guy and you know, he would be the one to motivate all of that. So, you know, we’re ready if he wants to and until then he’s just dominating so all power to him.” With such news, fans would be more confused about Johnson’s ultimate return to the franchise.

Dwayne Johnson’s return to his mega franchise still seems to be a dream for many of his fans. And, the reason is already known to be his sour relationship with Vin Diesel. However, McCormick did not fully rule out the arrival of Johnson to the franchise.
As per her statements, the bad relationship is not a factor anymore. And it is the timings that are playing a crucial role in Johnson’s return. His fallout with Vin Diesel has played a major factor in his walking out of the film, but now without any confirmation, fans can only wait for Luke Hobbs to return.
