Marcus Maye, an American football free safety for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League, was born on March 9, 1993. (NFL). He previously played football for the New York Jets while attending the University of Florida. Maye’s hometown is Melbourne, Florida. He made his first career start and first regular season start as a professional in the New York Jets’ 21–12 loss to the Buffalo Bills in the season opener. Maye made his first career interception and contributed four combined stops as the Jets upset the Cleveland Browns 17-14 in Week 5. In the Jets’ 31-28 loss to the Miami Dolphins on October 22, 2017, he recorded a season-high seven combined tackles.

2018 

Maye returned to the Jets’ lineup in Week 4 after missing the first three games of the season with a foot injury. In Week 5’s victory over the Denver Broncos, Maye picked off a Case Keenum pass and returned it 104 yards, just missing a score. By the time the game was through, the Jets had triumphed, 34-16. 

2019

Maye changed his jersey number from 26 to 20 in order to make room for Le’Veon Bell’s signing. In last week’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Devlin Hodges threw a pass late in the fourth quarter, but Maye intercepted it to help the Jets win 16-10.

2020

The Jets gave Maye the franchise tag on March 9, 2021. He executed the one-year tender on March 22, 2021. As a result of his Achilles injury in Week 9, Maye was placed on injured reserve on November 9, r 9, 2021

On March 16, 2022, Maye agreed to a three-year, $28.5 million deal with the New Orleans Saints.
