Marlon Chito Vera was born on the 2nd of December, 1992 in Ecuador. He is one of the very few mixed martial artists to have become successful from the South American country.
Vera joined the UFC in 2014, and has been quite a force in the bantamweight division. The Ecuadorian is currently ranked number 8 in the division.
Marlon Vera has been a part of the UFC since November 2014. And his net worth stands at an impressive $4 million.
For his last fight against Jose Aldo in December 2020, he pocketed $85,000. Had he beaten Aldo he would have walked home with a boatload of cash.
His highest payday came against Dominick Cruz in August 2022. He made $300,000 for his stunning KO over Cruz, that night.

Vera then turned up big. He won three fights in a row, before suffering back-to-back unanimous decision losses against John Lineker and Douglas Silva de Andrade.
Following the two losses, Vera went on a 5-fight unbeaten streak, which was snapped by Song Yadong in May 2020.
Vera then famously handed the surging Sean O’Malley his first ever loss in his MMA career.
The Ecuadorian’s record currently stands at 20 wins, 7 losses and 1 draw.
Not much is known about Vera’s parents. His father was Marlon Sr., and Chito Vera has very often spoken about the hardworking nature of his dad when he was a young kid.
Vera is married to Maria Paulina Escobar, and the couple has three kids. Two daughters named Anna Paula and Eliana, and a son named Nacho.
His first daughter Anna Paula underwent surgery in 2018 due to a rare condition called Moebius syndrome, which affects the muscles that control facial expression.
