Fucsovics turned pro in 2009 and was pretty successful in the challenger circuit. It was not until 2017 that he broke into the top 100 of the ATP rankings. Despite being a regular on the ATP circuit for more than a decade, Fucsovics has failed to establish himself as a top name. He has had good patches in between but his form degraded over the last two years and he dropped outside the top 50 of the ATP rankings. The major highlight during this period was a Quarter-Final appearance at Wimbledon 2021. It is the first and only time that he reached this stage of a Grand Slam. Fucsovics finished the 2022 season ranked No. 87 after winning the 2022 Slovak Open and reaching the semifinals of the 2022 Internazionali di Tennis Castel del Monte in his last two tournaments of the year. The Hungarian ace would look to carry forward this positive momentum to 2023 and get a consistent string of results this year.
