Denver Nuggets team will host yet another LA team in 2 days period, as they take on the Los Angeles Clippers on 19th Jan 2022.

The Los Angeles Clippers have been playing without their superstar Kawhi Leonard and the wait is nearly over for them, as Leonard is making good progress from the injury. Paul George kept the team in playoff contention with some timely support from other players. They are currently 9th in the Western Conference with a 22-23 record.

The Denver Nuggets have reigning regular-season MVP Nikola Jokic delivering huge performances for them. He is in the race for this season’s MVP award also, but the team’s performance hasn’t been as impressive as Jokic’s. They are 6th in the West with a 1.5 games advantage over their next opponents.

The Nuggets had a very hectic schedule last week, yet, the team performed well considering the away games, traveling, and playing high octane games. But they couldn’t overcome the Jazz challenge as the Jokic triple-double performance was overpowered by Gobert and Mitchell. Nuggets suffered a heavy 23-point defeat which concludes their current streak – L1

Los Angeles Clippers were without any of their star player for their game against the Pacers. But they managed to grab an important win against them behind great production from their star veteran Nicolas Batum. Reggie Jackson and Morris provided much-needed support which concludes their current streak – W1

Los Angeles Clippers have to figure out their way out to play against stronger teams without their superstars. The team is heavily dependent on George or Leonard. The Nuggets have a healthy team available and Jokic’s performance affects the outcome of the game.

The Nuggets have a great opportunity to take lead in their season series against the conference opponent.

Star Player for Los Angeles Clippers: Marcus Morris

He is not a superstar that many teams relied upon, but he surely had some effective games to cement his position as one of the dependable players for the team. He is 3rd top scorer and rebounder for the team. With the absence of George, the team heavily relies on Morris’s performance.

Reggie Jackson

Perfect Support Cast for Clippers: Reggie Jackson and Terrence Mann

Reggie Jackson has proved his worth as primary playmaker for the team in absence of Paul George. He not only leads the team in scoring but gets the team involved in every possession. Terrence Mann might come off the bench but scores 10+ points and 5+ rebounds per game.

Star player for Nuggets: Nikola Jokic

Jokic might have lost his leading position in the MVP race, but he is still a key player in the team’s on-court production. He is the only player in the league-leading his team in all standard stats for the team. He averages 25+ points, 13+ rebounds, 7+ assists, 1+ steal, and nearly 1 block per game.

Perfect Support Cast for Nuggets: Will Barton and Aaron Gordon

Gordon’s outing with the Nuggets has been helpful for the team. He may not be as a vital player in presence of Jokic but certainly, a perfect player to support Nikola. Will Barton is another player who is driving offenses for the team. He is just behind Jokic in points and assists.
