Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has revealed his high hopes after handing four time NBA All Star Kemba Walker for the Mavs this season.

New Mavericks signing Kemba Walker

The Dallas Mavericks have had a season filled with highs and lows. While the highs in their season all center around their talisman Luka Doncic who has had an extraordinary season for the Mavericks so far this season, the lows also revolve around him as despite having the season he is having, Doncic has received negligible help from his Mavericks support cast.

Therefore, it only made sense for the Mavericks to go in for some good support for Doncic to get the most out of the team as well as their talisman. It turns out that the Mavs have landed All-Star Kemba Walker after the Detroit Pistons player was linked with the Mavericks this season according to several reputed NBA insiders.

And the speculation was confirmed when Mavs owner Mark Cuban sealed the Mavericks’ signing when he came out and spoke about adding Walker to the team.

What did Mark Cuban have to say about Kemba Walker?

Cuban addressed the Mavericks landing the veteran and spoke about how he can help the Dallas outfit by adding something different to the mix at the American Airlines Center.

Walker in action for the New York Knicks

Dallas Morning News reporter Brad Townsend reported the story that Cuban had commented on adding Walker to the ranks at the Mavericks, only hours after the Mavericks’ interest in the four time All Star was first reported by Marc Stein followed by Shams Charania of The Athletic.

We wanted to add some flexibility to our offense. Like last year at this point, we have great shot quality, particularly from the 3, but we have struggled to make enough. Kemba will give J-Kidd (head coach Jason Kidd) more offensive flexibility,” said Cuban. Walker’s addition will add scoring as well as depth to the backcourt, as they try and get their season back on track to qualify for the Playoffs.
